Overview

Our comprehensive triathlon group program runs year round and includes swim sessions, track workouts, bike time trials, transition and brick workouts which will prepare you to handle Sprint, Olympic and Half Ironman distance triathlons including Wildflower, Tri-for-Fun, San Jose Int’l, Folsom Int’l, Vineman and many more great events!

Each workout is organized so that regardless of your ability, level or goals, you will be challenged but also not feel like you are holding up the group.  Workouts are kept fun and different to keep you from getting bored with the same old routine.

     • personal instruction in swimming, biking and running
     • strength conditioning for triathlon
     • periodization and multisport training basics
     • In-season, we will focus on race specific training including
               • transitioning
               • tapering and peaking for race day
               • race day preparation
  Personalized training schedules - what to do outside of the group sessions!

Training Seasons

Pre-Season Sessions

     MONTHS: January, February and March
     WORKOUTS, DAYS/TIMES:
          Spin Classes, Tuesdays (7.30pm)
          Swim or Run Sessions, Wednesdays (6.30pm)
          Bike or Brick Sessions, Saturday Mornings (8.00 am)
     FEES: $110/month

TRAINING FOCUS: Build base miles for all three sports, strength conditioning, core strength and flexibility.

In-Season Sessions
     MONTHS: April through September
     WORKOUTS, DAYS/TIMES:
          Track Sessions, Tuesdays (6.30pm)
          Swim or Bike Sessions, Wednesdays (7.45pm or 6.30pm)
          Brick Sessions, Saturday Mornings (8.00 am)
     FEES: $110/month

TRAINING FOCUS: Build sport specific speed, high intensity brick workouts, build endurance through periodization and taper for specific events.

Off-Season Sessions
     MONTHS: October, November, December
     WORKOUTS, DAYS/TIMES:
          Swim Sessions, Every other Wednesday (7.45pm)
          Bike or Brick Sessions, Saturday Mornings (8.00 am)
     FEES: $60/month

TRAINING FOCUS: Maintain miles for all three sports, technique work, overall strength conditioning, core strength and flexibility.

Flex
Option
     MONTHS: Year-Round
     WORKOUTS, DAYS/TIMES:

These workouts follow the same schedule as the pre, in and off-season sessions.  When you sign up for the Flex Option, you will receive a workout card good for 10 SESSIONS.  The workout card is good for 3 MONTHSWorkouts not used at the end of that time are forfeited, cards are non-transferable.

     FEES: $100/10 session card

Training Rewards Program

We Reward Our Athletes!
As an effort to reward our athletes for their hard work and improving their personal best efforts, we offer a fun points competition with rewards given out each month!  Points will be given to athletes for completing group workout sessions, improving their times at group time trials, completing triathlons as well as improving personal bests at races.

At the end of every month, a raffle will be held with all current Total Intensity Sports athletes. Each point earned will represent a chance to win the current month’s raffle. The winner of the raffle gets gear, sponsor gift certificates and/or some other cool stuff.  Winners also forfeit all of their accumulated points at the same time. Points for all other athletes, however, will be rolled into the next month’s raffle. Keep training and improving and your chance of winning a monthly raffle increases!
